The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is the second car in a new Special Projects programme created by Ferrari to meet requests from the most discerning clients and collectors to create truly unique models. The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and was inspired by a Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari built specifically for the 1968 Fellini film, Toby Dammit, itself inspired by one of the tales of Edgar Allan Poe.
Coming from Ferrari’s Special Projects–basically a toy store for the richer than rich in which Ferrari will work directly with the buyer and produce the exclusive stallion of his dreams–the P540 Superfast Aperta modifies the 599 GTB Fioriano to resemble the Ferrari in the 1968 film Toby Dammit. How nice it must be when your father invents cable TV.

Seriously though, is it us, or is money wasted on those that have it? If you were given the chance to build your own Ferrari, couldn’t you come up with something better than recreating a tawdry-gold Ferrari from some obscure, 40-year-old movie? And couldn’t you think of a more interesting name than “Superfast”. Yes, I know, it has history, but branding clearly wasn’t what it is today. Not to hate, but this is just a shame.

The Winstorm MAXX is a five-seat SUV that integrates a dynamic exterior with an elegant interior. Its sporty driving characteristics set it apart from “city commuter” SUVs.Its balanced handling is sustained by a stiff steel body-frame integral structure and a responsive suspension setting.

“Since we launched our first SUV, the Winstorm, two years ago, GM Daewoo has quickly become a strong competitor in the SUV segment in Korea and around the world,” said GM Daewoo Vice President of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing Rick LaBelle. “The Winstorm MAXX premium compact SUV gives us a more comprehensive SUV lineup and SUV buyers more choice.”

The Daihatsu Mira Cocoa will come with a base price tag of between 1 million ($10,600) to 1.364 million yen ($14,460) and is currently available for ordering in Japan. The Daihatsu Mira Cocoa is powered by a 0.6 liter three cylinder engine capable of developing 58 horsepower.

The Daihatsu Mira Cocoa powertrain also consists of either an all wheel drive system or a front wheel drive system and either a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) or a four speed automatic gearbox. The Daihatsu Mira Cocoa is available in L, X, Plus L, Plus X and range-topping Plus G forms, with a 658 cc petrol engine.
The new five-door mini is available in Japan with a 660 cc three-cylinder engine producing 58 horsepower and 65 Nm of maximum torque, coupled to either a 4-speed automatic gearbox or a CVT. As with most JDM cars, the Mira Cocoa is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations.
